About Me.
Since 2018, I have been developing my professional illustration and visual storytelling skills through the School of Visual Storytelling. I've sought mentorship and have been involved in several illustration associations, such as The Illustration Department, The Association of Illustrators (AOI), and Kids Comics Unite. Throughout this time, I have completed several private commissions, commercial work for small businesses, and released my first webcomic, "Follow Your Art". In recent years, I have gradually built a social media presence for my illustrations and art practice on platforms such as YouTube, Instagram, and Webtoon. I am currently working on a webcomic called, "Heart on a Stale Canvas".
As most journeys are, my path to illustration has been full of twists and turns. I graduated from the University of Calgary with a Bachelor of Science in Geology in 2018. After graduating from university, I found myself working as a Records and Information Analyst at one of the top law firms in Canada. After three years, I eventually made my way into a Financial Fraud Analyst role at a growing fintech startup. All the while, I couldn’t help but feel a persistent pull toward my one true passion, illustration.
And so, after a somewhat gnarled and knobbly journey, I finally decided to pursue illustration as a career in the spring of 2022 ( ˙ᵕ˙ ) ♡
